Stretchable Kid's Clothing that Can be Worn For 3 Years

Kids grow out of clothes so quickly!

September 20, 2017

Having kids is expensive or so I have heard from friends. And when they are infants and toddlers you know how fast they size out of clothing. Kid's clothes aren't cheap and that's why children's consignment shops are popular for parents looking to save money. Another great option is to share kid's clothing with friends and family members that have kids close in age to yours. Did you know kids grow up to 7 sizes in their first two years?

Now there's a new option on the market for parents to get the most bang for their buck when buying clothes for their little ones. It's a new company called Petit Pli. What's so special about these clothes? The clothes are made of pleated waterproof shells that "can grow bi-directionally to custom fit a range of sizes."

The wedsite touts that their clothing can be worn from 4 months to 3 years old. But wait, kids are so rough on clothing? How can they possibly last 3 years? Petit Pli's claim to fame is that their products are windproof, waterproof, and childproof.

What do their clothes look like?

Petit Pli believes in longevity. This outerwear range expands to fit a large range of sizes in growing children. Why? We want to reduce the waste resulting from fast fashion.

Think about all the clothing that gets stained or torn because kids play rough. Those clothes typically just get thrown out and that in the long run makes for a lot of wasted materials. Petit Pli's clothing is sustainable which means less waste and it's better for the environment.

In fact, they claim that because the clothes grow up to 7 size that it equals 7 times less waste! Cheer to that!
