The divorce rate in the United States is still between 40-50 percent. Your chances of getting divorced only increase the more times you are married. There are many factors at play to know if your marriage is more likely to be one that ends in divorce. The age you are married can play a big role as can the job you hold.

What professions in the United States have the highest chances of divorce? A new study has come up with the data and a list of jobs people tend to divorce more. You can actually see a really cool graphic that allows you to find your profession and see what your chances of divorce are here

Here are the 5 occupations most likely to divorce:

1. Gaming Managers: These are people who work as managers in Casinos.

2. Bartenders: Their hours aren't exactly ideal for raising a family.

3. Flight Attendants: This makes sense with all of the out of town travel.

4. Gaming Service Workers: People who work in casinos.

5. Rolling Machine Setters: Set up, operate, or tend machines to roll steel or plastic forming bends, beads, knurls, rolls, or plate or to flatten, temper, or reduce gauge of material.

I wonder why rolling machine setters are so high on the list. I would think that people in the entertainment business or media would have been in the top five for sure! On the flip side, there are jobs that people have a much lower divorce rate. Any guesses on what occupations are on that list?

1. Actuaries

2. Physical Scientists

3. Medical/Life Scientists

4. Clergy

5. Software Developers

Funny thing is that I married someone with a scientific background and well... we're getting divorced. Maybe I just found the wrong scientist?
