Now that we are into October stores are starting to shift into Holiday mode. If you've been to Target or Walmart, you've already seen they have their holiday decoration section all set up and ready to go. I'm sure in the next week or two we will also start seeing stores putting up their own decorations too.

Every year Black Friday sales seem to start earlier and earlier. The biggest shopping day of the year used to only be on Friday, but now many retailers have opted to open on Thanksgiving to allow consumers to get the deals after they eat their turkey.

If you are one of the people planning to get your shop on after you take your turkey induced Thanksgiving nap, these are the stores you won't be able go to because they've already announced they will be closed. I am all for getting an amazing sale, but as someone who worked in retail way back in the day I also hate the idea of stores being open on the Holiday. People who work retail deserve a day off to enjoy family, friends, and all the food before the Holiday rush begins.

These stores will be closed on Thanksgiving:

More stores an expected to announce their plans for Thanksgiving soon. If you want to get an idea of what items may be on sale with the best discounts for Black Friday you can go to sites like BestBlackFriday.com and others. They always release their predictions around this time of year and in a few weeks they generally have the actually stores sales ads too.
