The Thoughts Brides Have Walking Down The Aisle

February 1, 2017

It's a day that a woman has most likely dreamt about since she was a little girl. But what is exactly going through a Bride's mind as she's walking down the aisle to the person, she's about to commit to forever?

If you missed it with Bob & Sheri this morning, they dedicated their Phun Phones to this! Some of the answers were beautiful, while others made it clear that some people knew they should turn around and run.

I remember a few years ago reading an article about people who knew they were making a mistake on their wedding day. I want to say the figure was somewhere around 30% of people knew it wouldn't last. They say having cold feet is pretty normal, but is it?

Shouldn't you know 100% that you are making the right decision before you get married? Or maybe the bigger issue is that some people get ready for all the wrong reasons like social pressures, they want to have a family, or they were with the person for so long.

So here are a few of the most common thoughts Brides have as they walk down the aisle:

I hope I look good in the pictures.

What the hell am I doing?

I don't know about this.

I need a Xanax...

Those responses don't exactly say romance, do they? As someone who walked down a very short aisle just over three years in Vegas on a sort of whim... if those are the thoughts running through your mind, you shouldn't be getting married. #Hindsightis2020 by the way. You live, you learn, and you don't make that mistake a second time.

A lot of people go through with the wedding because the deposits have been paid, the invitations were sent, or they don't want to be embarrassed. I would have much rather lost out on money on the big day than gotten married to the guy I knew I shouldn't. Getting a divorce is a long process and costs a lot of money, so I am learning.
