What Candy Bar May Be Gone by Year's End?

June 19, 2017

Hi! My name is Kelly and I'm a chocoholic! I love pretty much all chocolate with the exception of white chocolate. Let's be honest, it's not real chocolate anyway.

If you love chocolate like I do there's a pretty popular candy bar that is in danger of becoming extinct by the end if the year.

My first thought was please don't let it be one of the candy bars I love like the Crunch Bar, Twix, or Reese's anything. Thankfully none of my favorites are in danger of going away.

Nestle is doing some restructuring of their products and they are selling off Butterfinger and Baby Ruth candy bars from their portfolio. I understand getting rid of Baby Ruth because honestly I don't think I've ever eaten one in the 38 years I've been alive.

But how can you get rid of Butterfinger? Butterfinger is essentially Nestle's Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. They've even expanded the Butterfinger brand with specialty holiday items like Butterfinger Eggs.

Can someone start a petition to save the Butterfinger? Interestingly enough, I did some research on Butterfinger's popularity. It's number 5 on a list of the 10 best selling candy bars in the World. And Baby Ruth is number 7! I think that alone means that someone will step up and buy these two brands.

Ever hear of Zagnut? It's in a red and yellow package and actually has no chocolate what so ever. It's hard to find and if a store sells it, it's always on the bottom of the candy shelf. That's a candy bar I can see disappearing.
