Why Do People Get Hangry When They're Hungry?

I am notorious for being that person that waits until I can't take it anymore to eat. Needless to say, I get hangry. Hanger is when you get so hungry you become enraged with anger. 

Why do hunger and anger go together to make us hangry? A new study has the explanation! 

The study found that if people are hungry, they tend to have a negative view of everything around them. When someone is hungry, there are two key things that determine if that hunger will contribute to negative emotions or not, according to MacCormack: Context and self-awareness.

So it's not your hunger that's making you so angry. It's the hunger that's messing with your emotions and making you perceive everything negatively.
