Would You Let Your Employer Microchip You?

Am I a dog or cat now?

July 24, 2017

Big brother is always watching or listening. You should always assume what you are doing at work is tracked and seen. One Wisconsin company is taking this whole idea of always watching to a whole new level by installing microchips in employees who volunteer for it.

Doesn't this seem like an egregious violation of a person's privacy? The company, Three Square Market, will use the microchip technology to allow employees to make purchases in their break room market, log into computers, open doors and use the copy machine. That's all fine and dandy, but again wouldn't this chip allow the employer to watch employees and keep track of them at all times?

According to the CEO, there is the GPS in the microchip and they won't be able to track their employees. You can see in the diagram below how the chip will be implanted.

The company feels as if this is the microchip technology is going to be the next big thing. If I agreed to be microchiped shouldn't I get a raise or something since it's voluntary at the moment? Just sayin'! Maybe I just don't trust BIG brother and think that although they say they aren't tracking employees they will be anyway.

Would you allow your employer to put a chip in you?
