Most popular any town in the world, actually

People listening to music

Sure, you may have spent all of January listening to Lil Pump or Ed Sheeran or 6IX9INE or Post Malone or Camila Cabello, but what about everyone else in your neighborhood?

If that very question has kept you up at night, fear not! We have scoured the internet in search of answers! And as it turns out, most of the world is actually listening to exactly the same thing you are.

Yup, that's right. According to this insanely dope interactive map we found online, the entire U.S. was basically evenly divided in January by 6IX9INE's "Gummo," Lil Pump's "Gucci Gang," and Camila Cabello's "Havana." Of course, there is also a healthy dose of Post Malone's "Rockstar." Across the ocean, a pretty good chunk of northern Europe spent the start of the new year listening to "Perfect" by England's own Ed Sheeran. Most of Australia was listening to "Perfect" as well. But perhaps most surprising from this map, BTS was not the most listened to group in their native South Korea! That distinction actually went to the song "Peek-a-Boo" by the all-girl K-Pop group Red Velvet.

In full disclosure, we can't actually tell what exact metric this website is using to rank the songs. It does seem like it's based on YouTube video views, however. Either way, it's definitely something fun that you'll want to play around with while you're bored at work, or the doctor's office, or wherever. Enjoy!
