Sam Smith appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden earlier this week for the newest episode of Carpool Karaoke. Can the singer help James Corden get to work on time? 

The pair kick things off by performing Smith's newest single, "Too Good at Goodbyes." Smith revealed when he was working at a bar back in the day, the host was the first to draw any attention to his music.

Smith opens up to Corden all about the time he skipped school to go to a Lady Gaga concert, reveals his Hollywood crush, and talks his obsession with Fifth Harmony. A dream of his came true when Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane hopped in the car to sing "Work From Home."

Sam Smith's second studio album, The Thrill of It All, drops November 3.
