The Script wants everyone to hug it out.

The Irish band formed in 2007 and they're still going strong with the release of their fifth studio album, Freedom Child. The new project brings fans fourteen new tracks that they themselves have had on repeat.

The lead single, "Freedom Child," ended up being the umbrella for the record as world events had major affect on them in the studio. Danny O'Donoghue, Glen Power, and Mark Sheehan, realized the world was missing out on some positivity during the writing process.

Inspiration behind the album was based on a personal experience for Sheehan. The idea for Freedom Child came about when he had to have a very difficult conversation with his 7-year-old son. The only way he knew how to approach the the concept of beating hate and explaining it to his child, was through a song.
