88% Of Americans Are Happy At Their Current Job

February 5, 2019

So despite the fact that it seems like everyone is always complaining about how horrible their job is, a new survey says quite the contrary. The found that 88% of people say that they’re happy at their job.

Millennials are the generation that’s least happy at work; 17% say their job makes them unhappy or miserable, but still the overwhelming majority of folks from all generations surveyed (Baby boomers, Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z) say they’re happy or elated with their current job.

What is it that makes people enjoy their job so much? The survey found that the happiest employees have a good relationship with their boss and feel strongly connected to the company’s mission.

Happy employees also take longer lunches and are more likely to swear at work. If you need any evidence of whether or not Matt’s a happy employee, enjoy this compilation of him swearing at work:
