What Are Your Easter Plans This Year?

April 19, 2019

While the first things that might come to mind when you think about Easter are church and/or easter candy, this holiday is a money maker.

The National Retail Federation says Americans will spend $18 BILLION in 2019. Here’s the breakdown:

Food: $5.74 billion
Clothing: $3.27 billion
Gifts: $2.87 billion
Candy: $2.49 billion
Flowers: $1.29 billion
Decorations: $1 billion
Greeting cards: $780 million

If you’re in the nearly 80% of Americans who plan to celebrate Easter this, what are your plans for the holiday weekend?

Family is a huge deal this time of year, with more than half of men (53%) and women (60%) planning to visit family and friends. Cooking a holiday meal and going to church round out the top three Easter activities.

And if you’ve got kids there’s a good chance they’ll get to visit the Easter bunny...let’s just hope it's not one these!
