Here Are 5 Lies We're All Guilty Of Telling

April 30, 2019

At one point or another we've all been liar liars with our pants on fire. While some lies are absolutely atrocious and unforgiveable, there are little lies that we end up telling each other during the midst of everyday conversation. Here's a look at five of the most common lies:

1) "I'll be there in 5 minutes."
Mmhmm...at this point when someone says that, we're smart enough to know they don't really mean it. It just sounds better than saying "I'll be there in 10 to 15!"

2) "We need to catch up!"
How many times have you run into someone you haven't seen in a while and said that? And how many times have you both made time in your busy adult lives to follow through and actually catch up? Exactly.

3) "That name sounds familiar."
We get it...the conversation is flowing well and you don't want to look like a dummy by saying that you have no clue who Heather's brother's girlfriend is.

4) "I didn't get your text."
This one is tricky. Oh you definitely got the text, BUT there are certain people out here who see the text, reply in their head and  forget to reply to the actual person. It's a nasty habit, but it really happens!

5) "I was going to say that!"
No, you probably weren't, but sometimes we're so clueless on what to say that we fill it with sayings like this.
