Are You Addicted To Your Smartphone?

March 12, 2019

Society has reached the point where we’ve embraced that the smartphone is a huge part of most people’s daily lives, from keeping in touch with friends and family to keeping up with what’s going on in the world. But even if you grew up before the smartphone era, would you be able to survive these days without one?

A recent survey found that half of all smartphone users grab their phone before moving from room to room, and nearly two-thirds rarely or never leave home without it.

60% of people 18 to 34 years old would feel anxious without their phone because they couldn’t reach friends or family. Nearly half of adults 18 to 24 would hate being without their phone because they wouldn’t know what to do with their phone.

While the majority adults 18 to 44 years old are the ones who’d feel most anxious without their phone for the day, 49% of smartphone users do admit that not having their phone would make them pay attention more to what’s around them.
