Thousands attend WBT SkyShow 2017

July 5, 2017

Thousands of people packed BB&T Ballpark and Romare Bearden Park Tuesday night for WBT's SkyShow in uptown Charlotte.

The street festival kicked off at 2 p.m. with live music, kids activities and more.

WBT's Bo Thompson and WFNZ's Chris Kroeger broadcasted live from outside the ballpark leading up to the first pitch.

A short rain delay postponed the game but the sky cleared soon after and people filled the ballpark and Romare Bearden Park.

USA played Cuba in a sold out game at BB&T Ballpark and Jim Szoke and Kyle Bailey called the game. Before the fireworks display Team USA beat Team Cuba 5-0.

After the game, WBT's Bo Thompson and 107.9 The Link's Ramona Holloway announced the fireworks show.
