WATCH: The Chainsmokers Misspell City Name On Banner During Concert
By: Joe Hyer
There are some cities that performers will just never be able to have the respect of the audience there. For The Chainsmokers that city may be Pittsburgh, Pa. in the future.
On Saturday (April 22) the duo had a great show, and during their encore, they tried to display a “Thank You Pittsburgh” banner. Well, their nice gesture didn’t go quite as planned.
Yes, their message actually read: “Thank You Pittsburg.” Notice that statement is missing the "h" at the end.
Fans had a field day with the mistake on Twitter, of course.

Luckily, the pop duo had fun with the mistake.
Well at least we got another chance this week in Clevlande https://t.co/YDUPkwUifc

We totally get it. Those silent letters can be a total buzzkill.
The Chainsmoker’s Twitter account originally threw their visual department under the bus for the mistake. They had tweeted, “lol totally putting our visual guy on blast for misspelling Pittsburgh at the end,” but the tweet has been deleted.
