WATCH: Ellen Responds to Las Vegas Shootings With Beautiful Video Montage

We're going to need a few tissues after watching this

October 4, 2017

Ellen DeGeneres opened her first show after learning about the horror in Las Vegas in the most “Ellen way” possible.

The host opened Tuesday's show (which was filmed on Monday) by acknowledging the unthinkable tragedy in Vegas. She said she felt “sad, anxious, and helpless,” but she acknowledged that we cannot lose hope.

“There is a lot more good in the world than there is bad, and I continue to believe that,” she said as she introduced an 7-minute long clip highlighting guests on her show who have inspired Ellen (and all of us) with their kind and selfless gestures.

The clips ranged from a child who developed an app to help people with disabilities obtain services to a woman on the New York subway standing up against xenophobia.

“The world is full of amazing people. Good will always win. Love will always win,” Ellen said after the video montage played.

We agree, Ellen. We agree. We all need a lot of love.
