Is Amazon Planning to Buy Target?!?

I feel like I've said "Amazon is slowly taking over the World" a few times in 2017. And here we are on the 2nd day of 2018, and I am saying it again.

Amazon continues to dominate and grow every single year. Last year, they bought out Whole Foods grocery stores and now there's a target on another popular retailer. Multiple sources are saying that Amazon will buy Target in 2018.

Target is super popular and continues to grow and evolve to fit the changing retail landscape. Loup Ventures' Gene Munster feels that an Amazon/Target combination could be an ideal situation to make both brands even stronger this year. "Amazon believes the future of retail is a mix of mostly online and some offline. Target is the ideal offline partner for Amazon for two reasons, shared demographic and manageable but comprehensive store count," Munster wrote in a post on Monday. "As for the demographic, Target's focus on mom[s> is central to Amazon's approach to win wallet share."

I wonder how Amazon's possible purchase of Target will impact the store I know and love. Maybe the shipping will be quicker if you're a Prime Member?

I wonder if Walmart is shaking in their shoes yet?
